Social Programs

Page Mali besides all its activities in Mali has been and is  still introducing and implementing a number of Social Programs in the Kangaba area where the Dabale-1 Gold mine is situated. They are a number of social programs introduced to assist the local community.

Since Page Corporation and in particularly Page Mali established its presence in Mali, it realized its responsibilities in the country. The founder and chairman of Page Corporation Gus Barbero born in Africa and live most of his life in the continent, realize the needs of the African people.
In general the majority of African countries are poor, especially some rural parts of West Africa. Page Corporation realizes its responsibility in Africa. In his first speech back in 1999, he said: “it is my personal decision and it must be the company’s  corporate philosophy, responsibility and obligation to introduce social programs in Mali, as we are guests in their country, like a guest in some ones home, so we have a social responsibility to the local communities, local governments and in general the whole country. We must assist as mush as we can to uplift the standard of living and increase prosperity in any region we are involved. Page Corporation is not a public trading company, with public share holders to financially contribute in such a task, but a private concern, so all of us we have to contribute to the best of our abilities not only financially but with great respect”.

Based on such principals and with any limited financial resources on hand, Page Mali, preceded with the implementation of a number of social programs. Such Community Social Programs include:
